LOST HILLS, Calif. -- One family is mourning the death of their 21-year-old son who was stabbed to death in Lost Hills Sunday night.

Deputies said the victim is Carols Alexander

His friend said they were both in the same car driving down Hwy. 46 when they noticed a truck following them.

The friend did not want to be identified, but told ABC23 that they pulled over into a neighborhood.

Deputies said there was an argument between them and the men in the truck and that's when Alexander was stabbed.

The friend said he drove Alexander to his parent's house and his dad drove him to a near by gas station for help.

Alexander died at Mercy Southwest Hospital.

Deputies said one person of interest has been detained, but no one has been arrested.
