BUTTONWILLOW, Calif. -- A local chemical company is being investigated by federal and local authorities.

The local FBI and County Environmental Health were at Port Organic Products Thursday, but so far no one is saying why they were there.

Agents in hazardous materials gear were seen taking boxes, bags and ice chests from the company.

Port Organics Produces lawn and garden chemicals such as insecticides and fertilizers.

The FBI said it was assisting the U.S. Agriculture Department, which is the lead investigator.

All agencies referred ABC23 to the U.S. Attorney's Office, Which said it won't know anything about the case until a complaint is filed.
