What To Do With A Damaged Fence?
POSTED: 7:46 pm PST February 6, 2009
BAKERSFIELD, Calif. -- On Wednesday, wind gusts hit up to 35 miles per hour and by Thursday some fences hit the ground.Ricky Keel a fence mender, “When the wind blows like this all, of a sudden I get calls.”Keel said a fence repair is more costly if your fence is on the ground, so you should repair it before that happens.
He recommends walking down the fence line and do the wobble test. And if it wobbles more than a couple inches, it’s probably broken. The reason for that, is because the cement anchor is down too deep and the fence post has rotted in the dirt.
