DELANO, Calif. -- One man has died after emergency crews said he was struck by an oncoming train in Delano.

The coroner's report said that man was 63-year-old Felix Garcia Duran.

Crews said the accident happened at about 8:15 p.m. along Garces Hwy. and High Street in Delano.

Emergency crews said Duran was on a motorized scooter when he tried to cross the train tracks.

Crews said all emergency equipment, such as bells and lights, were working at the time of the accident, but the railroad safety crews are investigating.
