Suspicious Piece Of Mail Addressed To DA Ed Jagels

UPDATED: 10:36 am PDT April 22, 2009

Haz Mat crews are on scene at the district attorney's office after a suspicious piece of mail was delivered.

Police say the mail was addressed to District Attorney Ed Jagels.

The Bakersfield Police Department and the Bakersfield Fire Department are at the office, which is located on the fourth floor of the Kern County Municipal Court Building in downtown Bakersfield.

Firefighters have been seen going into the building, but so far no one has been evacuated.

ABC23 put in a call to the districts attorney's office and were told they could not comment because there was an investigation, and more information would be released later.

It was just last week when Sheriff Donny Youngblood's office received a letter with a suspicious white power inside, that turned out to be baby powder.
