BAKERSFIELD, Calif. -- The sheriff's department released surveillance video from a Rosedale area gun store burglary that happened last month.Very few leads are emerging in the case of the stolen guns at the Ole Boy Outdoors sporting goods. The video shows somebody using a stolen pickup to crash into the store at 5 o'clock a.m. on June 16
The suspect drove into the store with such force that it pushed the security gates back about 20 feet. The burglar then got out of the pickup, ran out of camera view, smashed a gun case and took 10 hand guns valued around $8,000, according to the video and sheriff reports.Officials add that the video does not provide enough evidence to get a suspect description.Store owners say handguns are now locked in the safe at night.
