2 Killed in Alleged Drunk Driving Crash

4-Year Old Among Victims

A four-year old boy was one of two people killed in an alleged drunk driving accident early Sunday morning in Bakersfield, according to the California Highway Patrol. .

Lonnie Haynes, 26, lost control of his vehicle while trying to exit northbound Highway 99 at California Avenue, according to CHP. The car rolled several times ejecting 4-year old Quani Pulley. Pulley, who was not properly restrained, died at the scene. Jared Roberts, 23, was also killed. An unidentified five-year old, who was also in the car, was flown to Children's Hospital Central California in Madera.

Haynes lost control of the car because he was drunk and how fast he was driving, according to CHP. He was booked into Kern County Jail on several charges, including Felony Driving Under the Influence causing injury or death.

Haynes is scheduled to make his first court appearance Wednesday.
