Sex Offender Fails To Reregister

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. -- A registered sex offender has failed to reregister as a sex offender and is wanted by the Bakersfield Police Department.Eliezer Diaz, 40, is a sex offender who is out of compliance with his requirement to reregister annually as a sex offender, according to Bill Darbee with the BPD.Diaz is required to register as a result of a 1988 conviction for lewd/lascivious acts with a child under 14, Darbee stated.
Diaz was released from Avenal State Prison in June 2009 and has failed to comply with his requirement to register as a sex offender.The current whereabouts of Diaz is unknown.Diaz is described as Hispanic standing 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighs 180 pounds.
