BAKERSFIELD, Calif. -- With seasonal changes, the dirt has been causing severe problems across the county.

Highway 119 (Taft Highway) was closed around 1:45 p.m. due to low visibility, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The closure was between Dusty Acres and Elk hills.

The CHP reported there was an accident on the highway as well.

Around 3 p.m., Highway 119 was reopened.

With the high winds, the CHP is urging drivers to drive slowly and carefully as visibility is at a minimum.
