Updated: 2009 H1N1 Vaccine Clinics

The Kern County Department of Public Health announced that they have updated the H1N1 Flu vaccine clinics.

Matt Constantine states, “We are pleased that this supply has arrived. Because it did just arrive, we will finalize our emergency plans for distribution as quickly as possible. All sectors of Kern County will eventually receive the vaccine.”

First plans for distribution include hosting H1N1 Flu Vaccine Clinics at the following locations:

• Thursday, November 19 from 1 pm to 3 pm at Kern County Fire Station in Boron. - 26965 Cote Street, Boron, CA

• Thursday, November 19 from 1 pm to 3 pm at the Strata Center in California City - 10350 Heather Ave. California City

Dr. Jonah adds, “We can now expand to include all people in the priority groups which include: • Children 6 months to 24 years
• Pregnant Women
• Caregivers of children 6 months of age and younger
• Persons with Underlying Health Conditions 24 years to 64 years
• Healthcare Workers.

The public is invited to visit Public Health’s Web site, http://www.co.kern.ca.us/health/ or call 1-877-81VIRUS for updates on clinics and H1N1 distribution efforts.
