Sheriff: 25 Grams Of Heroin Found During Raid

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. -- A man has been arrested after police said he was found in possession of 25 grams of heroin.On Thursday around 6:30 p.m., the Kern County CAL-MMET unit assisted officers from metropolitan patrol in serving a search warrant on a home in the 700 block of Lincoln Avenue in Oildale.Eddie Wentworth was found and booked into the Central Receiving Facility on charges of possession of heroin for sale.
During the investigation officers located a substantial amount of heroin, 25 grams, having a street value of $25,000, the Kern County Sheriff's Department reported.Team members said they also found $1,978 cash and a 1978 Harley-Davidson motorcycle valued at approximately $7,000.The currency and motorcycle were processed for asset forfeiture.
