The Oregon State Police Department has confirmed that a missing 87-year-old Bakersfield man was located at a Subway restaurant in Salem, Ore.

Osborne "Ozzy" Louis Johnson was found safe at a Salem-area Subway sandwich business, Lieutenant Gregg Hastings with the OSPD said.

Oregon State Police and Keizer police were assisting Bakersfield police in trying to find Johnson after he was last seen boarding a Greyhound bus in Bakersfield on Wednesday, OSPD said.

On Friday around 11 a.m., OSP Detective Gregg Withers received information of a confused elderly male matching Johnson's description at a Subway shop located in the 1500 block of Hawthorne Boulevard in Salem, OSDP said.

He reportedly did not get off the bus Thursday morning in Salem, OSPD said.

Withers arrived and confirmed the man was Johnson. Local family members have been notified.

An Oregon State Police detective is with Johnson and assessing if he is need of any medical evaluation before connecting him with local relatives.
