BAKERSFIELD, Calif. -- During the week of Nov. 16, the Kern County Grand Jury delivered a 28-count indictment charging Kerry Hastings, age 23, and Markisha Ann Williams, age 24, both of Bakersfield, with numerous gangrelated crimes, including violence and weapons charges.

Both Hastings and Williams have been indicted on charges of the murder of Leonard Banks in the 2700 block of Fairview Road in September 2006.

In addition, Hastings is charged with the murder of Ernest Kerr Jr. in the 1500 block of Cottonwood Road in July 2007 and the murder of Anthony Daniels in the 1300 block of Reese Street in June 2009.

Hastings and Williams were previously arrested on unrelated charges and will remain in the Kern County Jail pending arraignment on the current charges.
