Shafter Bank Of America Robbed

SHAFTER, Calif. -- Around 12 p.m. Thursday, the Shafter Bank Of America was robbed, according to Shafter police.The bank, located at 261 Central Ave., was robbed by a man described as white, wearing sun glasses, a brown or rust colored hooded sweat jacket with the word "DICKIES" written on the front and was wearing a dark beanie.Police said the man handed the teller a note demanding money and displayed a handgun in his waist.
Police said the man then fled with an unknown amount of money into a white 1995 Chevy Silverado extended cab.Witnesses said the man appeared to have white sandy blond hair and a white mustache.The man's last known direction was east bound on East Lerdo Highway toward Highway 99.The Shafter Police Department is asking anyone with information to call Detective Grider at 746-8500.More Bank Of America Robberies Over Past Week Alleged Getaway Driver Arrested In Connection With BofA Robbery BofA Robbery Suspect Arrested In Gardena Update: Bank Of America At Marketplace Gets Robbed
