Bakersfield Hit With Power Outages

POSTED: 11:08 am PST February 5, 2010
UPDATED: 3:50 pm PST February 5, 2010

There were 3 outages affecting 119 customers in Kern County on Friday.

The largest outage is affecting 117 customers in east Bakersfield, in an area north and west of Columbus Street, between Mount Vernon Avenue and Panorama Drive.

The outage was attributed to an equipment problem.

Systemwide PG&E said it only saw slight damage from wind and rain Friday, with just over 2,100 customers affected.

PG&E said, "In preparation for this latest batch of rain, we did move some additional crews into areas that we expected to be hit the hardest."
