BAKERSFIELD, Calif. -- Debbie Moreno, ACE, President & CEO of the Bakersfield Chamber of Commerce, has been elected 2010-2011 Chairman of the Board of the Western Association of Chamber Executives (W.A.C.E.).W.A.C.E. is an association of chamber of commerce executives and staff professionals with approximately 800 members in 14 Western states.The association is designed to promote and enhance the professional development of chamber of commerce executives and is the largest state or regional chamber of commerce executives association in the United States.
Moreno has been with the Greater Bakersfield Chamber of Commerce for 20 years, serving as Vice President of Operations until being selected as President/CEO in 2004. The Bakersfield Chamber of Commerce serves nearly 1400 local businesses and is the largest business based association in the Greater Bakersfield area, representing the Bakersfield business community in areas of creating a strong local economy, promoting the community, representing the interests of business with government and providing networking and contact opportunities business to business and business to customer.
