Woman Wanted In Connection With Strong Arm Robbery

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. -- The Bakersfield Police Department is asking for the community’s assistance in identifying a suspect wanted for a strong arm robbery at Kohl’s, 5253 Gosford Road.Around 7:15 p.m. on Feb. 15, a woman depicted in surveillance photos was observed to be shoplifting by security inside the store.When a loss prevention agent contacted her in the parking lot, police said the woman threw her purse containing the merchandise in the suspect vehicle and instructed the two women who were with her to get in the car and drive away.
The woman then attacked the loss prevention agent striking her several times with her fists, Sgt. Mary DeGeare said.The women in the vehicle returned and picked up the other woman and the three fled together, DeGeare said.The first woman is described as Black in her 20s. She is said to be 5 feet 2 inches tall and weighing 145 pounds. Police said she has black hair and brown eyes and was last seen wearing a brown hooded sweatshirt with a gold design on the front.The other women who were seen with the first woman are described as Black females in their 20s. They appeared to be 5 feet 6 inches tall weighing between 145 and 150 pounds.The vehicle is described as being a silver 2007 Toyota Camry.Anyone with information regarding the identity of any of these women is encouraged to call Detective Heredia at 326-3873.
