4 New Principals Selected For Kern High Schools

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. -- Four Kern High School District campuses will have new Principals next year, following the announcement of their appointments at a KHSD Board of Trustees meeting Wednesday morning.Those appointments included:· Scott Cole to the position of Principal, Arvin High School. Cole is currently the KHSD’s Director of Research and Planning. He replaces Blanca Cavazos who is moving to the District Office next year to serve as the KHSD’s Task Force Administrator for Instruction.
· Mark Wyatt to the position of Principal, Bakersfield Adult School. Mark Wyatt is currently the KHSD’s Director of School Support Services. He replaces Susan Handy who is retiring at the end of the school year.
· Elizabeth “Libby” Wyatt to the position of Principal, Liberty High School. Elizabeth Wyatt is currently Liberty High’s Assistant Principal for Instruction. Elizabeth Wyatt will replace Pat Preston who is retiring.
· Alan Paradise to the position of Principal, North High School. Paradise is currently the KHSD’s Director of Pupil Personnel Services. He replaces Dr. Bryon Schaefer who was recently appointed to be the KHSD’s Assistant Superintendent for Business upon the retirement at the end of the year of Dr. Dennis Scott.
