3 Arrested, 16 Animals Saved During Raid

The Kern County Sheriff's Department said that during a search and seizure, it has recovered drugs, arrested three people and were able to save 16 animals from the home.

Around 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, deputies from the Gang Suppression Section served a search warrant in the 6100 block of Tiger Flower Drive.

During the search, deputies said they located and seized a small quantity of methamphetamine, a scale, narcotics packaging and paraphernalia.

Deputies said they also seized a shotgun, stolen prescription medication, stolen law enforcement equipment and stolen personal property.

A stolen vehicle was located in the driveway of the residence and recovered by the Bakersfield Police Department.

Kern County Animal Control responded and removed 7 dogs and 9 puppies from the residence.

At the home, deputies arrested three adults and they were booked into the Central Receiving Facility.

Justin Wright, 21, was arrested on charges of possession of methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine for sale, transportation of narcotics, possession of burglary tools, possession of stolen property and possession of a stolen vehicle.

Breann Welch, 19, was arrested on charges of possession of stolen property and possession of a stolen vehicle.

Carissa Cileo, 19, was arrested on charges of being under the influence of narcotics.
