Eggs Part of Massive Recall Found In Kern County

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. -- Some tainted eggs from that massive recall ended up on Kern County store shelves, according to Kern County Health Department.Health officials confirmed Monday that some of the eggs were on shelves at Albertson's and Trader Joe's. However, they are not sure if any eggs were actually sold.All of the tainted eggs have been taken off the shelves, said health officials. They advise that if you suspect you might have some of the tainted eggs to throw them away.
If you cook your eggs, health officials advises to do so at least 145 degrees.The government has yet to find a cause of the salmonella outbreak that has sickened as many as 1,300 people and forced the recall of more than half a billion eggs.
