Registered Sex Offender Accused Of Cutting Off GPS Surrenders

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. -- A registered sex offender, 20-year-old Timothy Ray Stevens, accused of cutting off his GPS ankle monitor device has turned himself in at the California Youth parole office.The Bakersfield Police Department said, Stevens Stevens removed his GPS device on Aug. 14, and absconded supervision.

Stevens is a registered sex offender and was living in a sober living home at 416 South Williams, Bakersfield, Calif., according to the BPD.The BPD said its officers responded to the parole office and took custody of Stevens.Stevens was interviewed by detectives and booked on a parolee-at-large warrant.
