Bakersfield Ranks In Top 10 Of State's Best Drivers

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. -- California’s best drivers can be found in Bakersfield, and 11 other California cities also rank among the top 100 for auto collision frequency in the largest U.S. cities. This is according to the sixth annual Allstate America’s Best Drivers ReportTM released today.This is the second consecutive year that Salinas topped the best drivers list. Nationally, Salinas is ranked 15th, behind top-rated Fort Collins, Colo., and ahead of Santa Rosa, the second-highest rated California city at 61st nationally.According to the report, the average driver in the nation’s largest cities will experience an auto collision approximately every 10 years. Only Salinas—at 11.4 years—and Santa Rosa—at 10.2 years—can boast a collision rate that’s less frequent.
