BAKERSFIELD, Calif. -- A man was arrested after he was discovered in a crawl space of a home.Deputies were sent to the 2500 block of Monterey Street around 10 a.m. Friday on reports of a man who was acting bizarrely and trespassing at the residence. The people at the home told deputies that the man was in the backyard of the home and was possibly armed with a large stick.
Deputies responded and located several articles of men’s clothing in the rear yard of the home, the Kern County Sheriff's Department reported.Witnesses told deputies that they saw Ricardo Figueroa, 35, undressing in the backyard. The witnesses told deputies that they believe Figueroa was hiding in the crawl space below the residence.According to the KCSD, Figueroa had an active domestic violence restraining order against him that barred him from coming to the residence.A search of the crawl space was conducted and deputies said they located Figueroa hiding underneath the residence.Deputies attempted to convince Figueroa to come out of the residence but were unable to do so.Figueroa ultimately exited the crawl space after deputies deployed chemical agents in the crawl space.Figueroa was arrested and booked into the Central Receiving Facility on charges of violation of domestic restraining order, resisting arrest and parole violation.
