Nephew in Critical Condition After Shooting

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. -- An uncle allegedly shot his nephew in the chest Saturday night in Central Bakersfield.According to the Bakersfield Police Department, they found Alejandro Navarro suffering from a single gunshot to the chest.He was taken to Kern Medical Center where he is in stable condition.
Witnesses identified the shooter as Navarro's uncle, Irvin Navarro, who resides at the home on Hughes Lanes.Irvin Navarro voluntarily returned to the scene where he was taken into custody. The weapon, a 22 caliber rifle, was recovered.A motive in the shooting has not been confirmed, but Irvin Navarro has been booked on charges of attempted murder
