2 Wanted In Connection With Fraud

The Bakersfield Police Department is asking for the communities assistance in identifying two people wanted in connection with the fraudulent use of a debit card.

The BPD said on May 27, a woman's purse was stolen at the Dollar Tree at 5430 Stockdale Highway.

A short time later, police said two people used the woman's debit card at Lowes.

Police said the woman appears to be Hispanic or white in her late 40s. She is said to be between 5 feet and 5 feet 3 inches tall with light brown hair and wearing prescription glasses.

The man appears to be Hispanic or white in his 40s. He is said to be about 5 feet 10 inches tall with short hair.

Both were together when they used victim's card to purchase merchandise, according to the BPD.

Anyone with information regarding these crimes or the identity of the suspects is encouraged to call Detective Pete Cavazos at 326-3538.
