BAKERSFIELD, Calif. -- Their temporary home will soon be no more, but the question of what to do about Bakersfield's homeless is far from answered, KERO reported.
City crews started the demolition of International Square, several weeks after the City Council voted to have it removed.
The city hopes removing the park will help the revitalization of Old Town Kern.
The park has long been a homeless hangout and some think removing the park won't solve the homeless problem.
The park will be given back to its original owner, Union Pacific Railroad, after the demolition is finished in two or three days.
