Police: Man Tries To Steal Charity Box From Taco Bell

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. -- The Bakersfield Police Department needs your help with identifying a man accused of attempted burglary.Police said that at about 6:45 p.m. on June 20, a man used pruning shears in an attempt to cut the wire cable securing the Children's Charity donation box at the Taco Bell on South Chester Avenue.When he was unsuccessful, police said the man ran out of the business.
He is described as Black, between 25 and 30 years old, 6 feet tall, weighing 180 pounds. He was wearing a white T-shirt, black knee length shorts and a black baseball hat.Anyone with information regarding the suspect’s identity is encouraged to call Detective David Cox at 661-326-3511.
