BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - An alert security guard helped stop a burglary at Foothill High School Wednesday evening.

At about 6:55 p.m. patrol deputies were sent to FHS regarding a burglary in progress.

Deputies conducted a search on the school grounds and said they discovered damage to the windows of several buildings and classrooms.

During the campus search, deputies said they discovered electronic equipment including flat screen monitors, projector screens, and other items that had been removed from the classrooms and stashed nearby.

Deputies searched the campus with a K-9 and found three juveniles on the school grounds.

The juveniles were arrested and booked at Juvenile Hall for burglary, vandalism, and conspiracy.

Sgt. Gary Williams said the value of the items was well over the amount needed to constitute felony charges.
