PETA Protestors Bare All To Spread Message
Women Protest Leather Clothing

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. -- It was anything but the average lunch hour in downtown Bakersfield Tuesday, KERO reported.
Three female members of PETA took to the corner of 18th and Chester and took it off. They were trying to persuade people not to wear leather. But their "message" didn't seem to be the focus.
Esteban Lopez attended the protest, not necessarily out of concern for animal rights.
"I didn't come for that -- that's what they believe in. I like leather," Lopez said.
Protestor Julia Foreman of Bakersfield admitted it was difficult standing nearly naked on the busy street corner in her hometown.
"I'm nervous, but doing it for a good cause makes up for the nervous feeling," Foreman said.
It made other people nervous, as well, KERO reported.
A passerby, Nora Adams, was uncomfortable with the protestors.
"I don't like it," Adams said.
The protestors wanted attention, and they got it, KERO reported.
