BAKERSFIELD -- -- The manhunt for a missing Valley Acres girl is over.

Police officials say 20-month old Tearsa Painter was turned over to Sacramento County Sheriff's authorities by her alleged abductor, Joshua Painter, on Jan. 23.

Painter was taken into custody, and is being held on a $50,000 warrant for alleged kidnapping and child concealment.

Local authorities will be picking up the girl in Sacramento County and bringing her back to Kern County, where she will be placed in protective custody, due to several allegations made by Painter regarding the child's poor care in Valley Acres.
