POSTED: 9:24 am PDT June 13, 2006
SACRAMENTO -- Plans for a California high-speed rail system might still be on track after all.
State Sen. Dean Florez is pushing his resolution that would create a committee to work directly with the California High Speed Rail Authority. Florez says his proposed committee would comprise five senators and five Assembly members to push for the rail project.
The resolution has to be approved by both the Assembly and the Senate.
