Area School Sends Poems To NYC Firefighters
Fire Captain Helps To Make Sure Letters Go To Right Place
Students at Almondale Elementary in Northwest Bakersfield decided to send letters and poems to the New York fire crews that have been hit hardest by the collapse of the World Trade Center.
Julie Bradford's 2nd grade class at Almondale Elementary started the project, and soon afterward the rest of the school joined in.
Bakersfield Fire Captain Danny Brown helped to make sure that all the notes of gratitude were sent, KERO 23 reports.
