ATF, DEA Join Forces To Raid Areas In Bakersfield

Two locations in Bakersfield were raided by federal agents this morning looking for drugs and guns as part of a statewide series of raids.

According to a local Drug Enforcement Administration official, the Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives was the lead agency in the drug and gun raid in the 4000 block of White Lane.

A location on Fawn St. was also busted.

The ATF in San Francisco confirms there were other raids going on concurrently in Northern California.

ATF said the majority of the investigation centered in the Bay area.

ATF reported the feds were looking for people affiliated with heroin and meth.

At this time, the Feds are not releasing how many people were arrested locally, or statewide, or exactly how many other sites were raided statewide.

Turn to ABC23 news at 5 p.m. and 6 p.m. as we will continue to investigate these busts.
