Bakersfield College is about to receive the largest donation to a community college in the history of the United States.On Thursday, a news conference is scheduled to introduce Bakersfield Colleges philanthropist to the community and highlight the efforts to be made possible by this historic investment in higher education.The nearly $14 million donation is the largest in United States history from an individual to a community college.The record was previously held by Santa Monica City College, for a $10 million donation from Eli and Edyth Broad in 2008.Information Provided By Bakersfield College
