Power outage in Arvin affecting more than 3,000 customers

PG & E currently enroute to investigate

ARVIN, Calif. - PG & E is currently sending crews to the Arvin area to investigate a power outage affecting more than 3,000 customers.

According to PG & E officials, the outage began at 12:31 a.m., and is believed to be caused by a vehicle crashing into a power pole. These reports are still unconfirmed and the cause is still under investigation.

The officials said, at this time, it is unknown when power will be restored until they can confirm the cause of the outage and if it was a car crashing into pole, then they will need to assess the damage and then make repairs.
