SAN DIEGO - A hazardous materials team was summoned to a Miramar-area business after the business owner said a bucket containing unknown materials crashed through the roof.

The incident was reported just before 11:30 a.m. at Renegade Performance Mustangs & Motorsports on 6325 Marindustry Place, according to San Diego Fire-Rescue Department officials.

The business owner told authorities a five-gallon bucket of premixed gas cleaner appeared to have come crashing through the roof. The business owner believes the bucket fell from a plane or helicopter, according to fire officials.

A Marine Corps Air Station Miramar official said the bucket likely fell from one of their aircraft sometime Wednesday evening, but did not confirm the time or the type of aircraft.

The base official said the bucket contains a non-hazardous cleaning solution, but the SDFRD's hazmat team is investigating the incident.

No injuries were immediately reported.
