Camila Bastidas joined 23 ABC in July 2008 as a news producer. She currently reports for the North County during the weekdays. Camila feels privileged that she can inform the public on important issues and to have an opportunity to build a relationship with the community.Camila attended Cal State Los Angeles and graduated in June 2008 with a Bachelor's Degree in Broadcast Journalism along with a minor in Criminal Justice and Anthropology.Camila's first job in news was as a free lance producer for Univision Network's primetime news magazine show, "Aqui y Ahora" (Here and Now) where she covered some of the most compelling news and human interest stories.Camila is a Southern California native but is now happy to call Bakersfield her home.Born in Bogota, Colombia this bilingual reporter now has dual citizenship of the United States and Colombia.Outside of the newsroom, Camila enjoys spending time with her fiancé, family and friends.She also enjoys photography, working out, traveling and exploring different cultures around the globe.She loves to explore her adventurous side taking on activities such as bungee jumping and skydiving.Do you have a story idea for Camila? camila.bastidas@kero.com
