Colorado A cappella group, Face, performs impromptu concert during storm at Dallas-Ft Worth airport

DALLAS - When a Boulder A cappella group got stuck at the Dallas-Ft. Worth International Airport due to an ice storm this weekend, they decided to make the best of it by singing Christmas carols.

"A couple hours in, we were sitting around and thought why not sing some songs," singer Cody Qualls told 7NEWS. "It will help us and people might like it."

A video clip posted on Facebook shows the group singing "Little Drummer Boy," "O Holy Night" and an arrangement of "We Three Kings."

"When life gives you lemons..SING!," one band member said on the video.

"I can't tell you how it thrilled my heart to hear you singing, especially 'O Holy Night!,'" fellow traveler Krista Fielder wrote about the group on YouTube. "Thanks again for blessing us."
"People were really touched," Qualls said. "It was fun."
While Qualls and the rest of the group wanted to get home, Qualls had an extra reason for needing to get back to Colorado -- his wife was due to have their baby Saturday.
Fortunately, the group got home Saturday evening and the baby stayed put.
"I was a little bit nervous, but luckily she didn't have the baby," Qualls said.
Face's website describes the group as a vocal rock band featuring five voices and a vocal drummer, or "beat-boxer."
