Texas highway to have highest speed limit in nation

LOCKHART, Texas - A 40-mile stretch of a Texas highway is set to open Wednesday with the highest speed limit in the nation.
Drivers will be able to do 85 without risking a ticket on Texas Highway 130.
Officials told a Forth Worth paper that some driver education will be needed to promote safe high-speed travel.
Signs will remind drivers the left lane is for passing only.
But one civil engineer doesn't feel drivers will hold it at 85. He expects to passed by some people doing 100.
