NEW YORK - Tom Hanks made sure viewers knew there’s no 7-second delay on “Good Morning America” Friday morning.

Hanks sat down with anchor Elizabeth Vargas during the 8 a.m. hour to promote his new movie "Cloud Atlas."

In a clip of the movie, Hanks is shown playing Dr. Henry Goose and speaking in a thick accent.

This prompted Vargas to ask Hanks if he could speak in that accent.

Hanks set the stage for what was to come saying, "Mostly, it’s swear words," but Vargas pushed him to try it anyway.

The Oscar-winner begins mumbling and out comes the "F-bomb," causing both Vargas and Hanks to put their hands over their mouths in shock at the moment.

Hanks did apologize and also added, "Let me say, next time I’m on the show there will be a 7-second delay."

"Cloud Atlas" hits theaters next Friday.
