Several Adults In Home When 48-Year-Old Woman Shot

Police are investigating how woman in Delano was een shot and killed.

Delano police said Monday that they didn't want to jump to any conclusions about the death of 48-year-old Terryl Lynn Roberts. She was found shot in the head Friday afternoon, but police have not yet labeled her death as a homicide or suicide.

Police responded to the 1000 block of Montana Way just before 6 p.m. to reports of a shooting. When they arrived, police found Roberts dead inside her home. They are calling her death a "suspicious circumstance."

Police said several adults were at the home at the time of the shooting and have questioned Roberts' husband, but he is not a person of interest.

Neighbors describe the couple as being quiet but friendly. They said no one has been seen around the home since Friday and the dogs in the back yard seem to have been left alone.

Police said they are disclosing all the details they can considering the situation.

Neighbors said Roberts left behind several adult children.

An autopsy was scheduled for Monday. ABC23 will bring you those results as soon as they become available.
