Erin Calandra, Producer/Reporter

Erin Calandra joined the 23 News team in October, 2006.

She is a versatile member of the team, serving as both a producer and a news reporter.

Erin was born and raised in State College, Pennsylvania, the home of the Nittany Lions.

She graduated from the Pennsylvania State University with a bachelor’s degree in Communications with an emphasis in Broadcast Journalism and a minor in English.

Before joining ABC23, Erin worked for several news stations as a producer and reporter in both California and in Pennsylvania.

Erin enjoys the excitement of the news room while producing and loves being out in the community, meeting new people while gathering information for her stories.

Some of her most notable news stories include internet sex scandals, wedding dress trashing, and the expansion of the Big Brother Big Sister program.

When she’s not at work, Erin spends time at home with her fiancé, Bill and their cat, Oscar.

She enjoys cooking, spending time at the beach, watching Penn State Football, and traveling.
