Farm Worker activist Dolores Huerta was uninvited to speak at a local Catholic school because of her stance on abortion rights.

Huerta was invited to speak to students at Our Lady Guadalupe School Thursday for the upcoming Cesar Chavez Day.

She was uninvited earlier in the week after a parent complained because Huerta is pro-choice.

Huerta said when she speaks to grammar school students she talks about non-violence, the importance of community service and respecting their parents and the job they do.

She said she would never talk about her pro-choice beliefs to children of elementary school age.

Huerta also said she still has not spoken to anyone from the school. They canceled her appearance through her office.
