BRIDES AGAINST BREAST CANCER

Whether you're a past or present bride, this morning you can help make another bride's dream come true. The Brides Against Breast Cancer sale begins at 11 a.m. and will go until 6 p.m. today. The sale will take place inside the Ballroom at the Four Point Sheraton on 5101 California Ave. Proceeds from each dress will go toward free support programs and services for women diagnosed with cancer. 

HAGGIN OAKS FARMERS

Looking for fresh and tasty seasonal fruits and vegetables? Then check out the Haggin Oaks Farmers Market today from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Vendors there have a selection of items including fruits, veggies, local honey, hummus, artisan breads and juices too. The Haggin Oaks Farmers Market is in the parking lot of the Kaiser Permanente on Ming Avenue. 

SUMMER MONEY CAMP

Teaching the little ones some economics and money management might sound a bit boring, but in the long run could prevent the from making bad money decisions. That's why "Money Camp" is here to help! The camp teaches kids in grades 3 thru 7 the importance of financial literacy. Topics include banking, budgeting, savings and credit. The camp is going on until August 8, 2014 at the Kids at Kern Assistive Technology Center, or KAT, from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at 2600 F St. The classes are $100 per week. KITTEN & CAT ADOPTIONS

Cause 4 Cats Inc. is dedicated to improving the lives of cats that are either pets, strays or feral by providing trap-neuter-return rescue and shelter services. You can help the organization by adopting a kitten or cat from their shelter inside Petco, at 5151 Gosford Road. Adoptions are taking place from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. 

'THE BREAKFAST CLUB"

You can also enjoy a special showing of "The Breakfast Club" today at the Edwards Stadium 14. The hit teen comedy of the 1980's follows a group of kids stuck in detention as they learn more about each other and themselves. Catch "The Breakfast Club" today at 2:00 p.m. Tickets are $7.50 for adults and $7 for kids and seniors.
