Locally owned Green Frog Market is discontinuing operations at the Country Club store located on Columbus and Oswell effective Monday, November 7th.

The company wishes to thank its customers for their continued loyalty, especially over the last six months.

This was an extremely painful decision. However, the recently added grocery programs of nearby big box retailers have eroded sales to the point that the store must close so it may return to market with a new and exciting approach.

Rather than sacrificing service while operating two stores, Green Frog Market will continue serving the community without interruption at the Alta Vista and Bernard location.

"We feel that this is the best thing we can do for our customers, employees, and vendors," said President Scott Hair. "The Alta Vista and La Cresta neighborhoods will still have a convenient, neighborhood grocery store at which to shop, and customers from outside of these neighborhoods will still have a local grocery store offering local products like Farmer John eggs that you simply can't get at the big box stores."
