Green Frog Market's Columbus Location Will Not Reopen

After months of speculation, Green Frog Market has officially announced it will not be reopening its store at Columbus Street and Oswell Street.The store closed its Country Club Market location in November.

Store officials said 18 employees were relocated to the Alta Vista Drive location and 18 other employees were laid off.Management said it could no longer afford to keep the Colubmus Street and Oswell Street location open mainly because of competition between nearby bix box retailers.In the meantime the store has been looking at making the store smaller and reopening.In the end management said they were not able to fulfill the remodel plan. The Green Frog Market at Alta Vista Drive and Bernard Street will be staying open to continue to serve the community.
