A botched job is bad enough for a burglary suspect. When the burglary ends with the suspect on the phone with 911 dispatchers while being held at gunpoint by the homeowner, that's a really horrible day.
Christopher Lance Moore, 41, is suspected of breaking into a Springtown, Texas, home early Tuesday, according to the Star-Telegram.
According to the Star-Telegram, the homeowners woke up to find him in their bedroom and asked what he was doing, to which he replied, "Just unlucky, I guess."
Moore left the house and got into his pickup truck, but homeowner James Gerow followed him out with a pistol and told him to drop his keys, according to the Dallas Morning News.
Moore called 911 to report he was being held at gunpoint -- and by the time police arrived, Gerow was also on the phone with 911 reporting the burglary.
Moore was arrested on burglary charges. Gerow was not charged.
