MESA, Ariz. (AP) -

A taxi cab driver in Mesa is in custody for allegedly telling two women he'd waive their fare in exchange for sexual favors.

Mesa police announced Wednesday that 43-year-old Eric Vincent is being held on suspicion of sexual abuse and solicitation of prostitution.

Police say they received a complaint on Feb. 22 from a woman who claimed her cabbie told her she wouldn't have to pay for her trip if she performed sexual acts for him.

The woman says she declined and paid her fare.

The next day, police learned that a second woman had told Discount Cab Company that one of their drivers had made a similar offer.

That woman also declined the offer and paid her fare.

Police didn't immediately know if Vincent has a lawyer yet.
