National Transportation Safety Board intern erroneously confirms fake names of Asiana pilots to KTVU

SAN FRANCISCO - In a statement Friday, the National Transportation Safety Board stated that an intern stepped beyond their authority and confirmed the fake names of the Asiana flight 214 pilots to KTVU San Francisco.
The NTSB stated it does not release any names in accidents. They apologized for the error.
Asiana flight 214 crashed July 6 at SFO, the San Francisco airport. Three victims of the crash have died.
KTVU had previously reported real names of two of the pilots.
