GOLDEN HILLS, Calif. - A 79-year-old man was arrested for raping a woman in his Golden Hills garage, officials from the Kern County Sheriff's Office said.
David Partovi was arrested on seven felony charges.
The 49-year-old victim's son reported that his mother had been missing for about an hour, officials said.
Officers were called out to a residence in the 23000 block of Woodford Tehachapi Road at about 2 p.m. on August 25, officials said.
Deputies said they could hear faint sounds of distress coming from a detached garage located about 50 to 100 feet away from the house.
Deputies entered the garage and found Partovi and the victim, who was partially nude, bound and gagged.
The victim was transported to Kern Medical Center in Bakersfield.
Officials said the victim and her son were guests of Partovi.
Charges against Partovi include forcible rape, forcible oral copulation, sodomy by use of force, rape by foreign object, assault with force likely to produce great bodily injury, threats of violence and false imprisonment with violence, officials said.
Partovi was bailed out and is scheduled to appear in Kern County Superior Court in Mojave for arraignment on September 6.
